Changes and Cancellations for 4/16/14

Softball
Varsity Softball game vs. Roseville is postponed. This game will be played on 5/3/14.
B Softball game vs. Roseville is postponed. This game will be played on 5/3/14.

Cretin-Derham Hall Athletics

Cretin-Derham Hall offers 27 varsity sports (13 boys teams and 14 girls teams) with junior varsity, B squad and multiple 9th grade teams for several programs. CDH competes in the ten team Suburban East Conference (East Ridge, Forest Lake, Hastings, Mounds View Park, Roseville, Stillwater, White Bear Lake and Woodbury and plays many metro area schools in non-conference competition.




During the fall, winter and spring sport seasons, there are Parent/Athlete Meeting prior to the start of the season. It is encouraged that student and parent(s)/guardian attend the Parent/Athlete Meeting to learn school and MSHSL rules regarding athletics.  Program information such as schedules, costs, and expectations are provided by the Head Coach at this meeting.  Each individual website may provide additional information for the if you are unable to attend the meeting.  Also, read through the Forms and Registration Page for paperwork that must be turned in prior to participation.  If you are unable to attend the Parent/Athlete Meeting, there is a presentation link below to read and listen to CDH and Minnesota State High School League Eligibility Rules.  Please contact jloeblein@c-dh.org with any questions.

Please go to each individual website and sign up for the student/parent/guardian contact form. This will allow for you to receive emails from the Athletic Office, Coaches, and parent groups.

Athletics News and Announcements

Congrats to the Boys Basketball Team as they advanced to the State Basketball Tournament. They beat the #1 ranked team in the state Apple Valley 89-77 in double overtime in section competition.  In the quarterfinal state game, they played St. Francis, winning 69-53.  The Raiders put up a great fight in the semi final game against Lakeville North, lossing 52-55 in the last second of the game. The team played Shakopee for the 3rd Place game on Saturday and finished fourth 56-62.  Juniors Joe Rosga and Donnell Gresham were named to the All Tournament Team. 


St. Paul Pioneer Press Article

Ninth Grader Logan Smith participated in the Class AAA Wrestling Tournament over the weekend. He wrestled in the 120 pound weight class and lost to wrestlers from  St. Michael Albertville and   Apple Valley.  Logan had a strong showing in both matches.  In his first round match up, the St. Michael Albertville Mitchell McKee was the eventual champion in the 120 lbs class. Congrats to Logan for making it to the tournament and representing CDH.
