Empty Bowls

Empty Bowls 2012 ~ 10 Years and still Growing!

February 9,2011 was the 9th annual Empty Bowls soup and bread lunch and supper. Thanks to the generosity of many, 2011 was a great success. Over 1400 bowls of soup and fresh buns, all of which were donated by local restaurants and friends of CDH, were served, and over $8,500 was raised and donated to Heifer International. This year's event brought the total amount of donations to over $65,000. Once again,  Heifer International which helps impoverished families and communities across the globe become self sustaining will be the recipient of our donations. Know that the Empty Bowls Team is not sitting back, but plan for our 10 year Anniversary of Empty Bowls to be even bigger and better!!!

All are invited to join us on Wed., February 15, 2012 for our 10th annual Empty Bowls.

Bread and Soup Donations

All of our soup and bread donations come from generous restaurants and individuals in the Twin Cities. If you are interested in helping through a donation of soup or bread, we would welcome your support. Please contact Peter Gleich to learn how you can partner with us in this wonderful event.

Silent Auction

Our Empty Bowls event includes a silent auction held throughout the day and features many different items including gift certificates to local restaurants, shops, florists, stage theatre productions, golf courses, water parks, sports memorabilia, and exquisite ceramic pottery. If you would like to donate an item, please contact Peter Gleich to learn more about partnering with us in supporting the work of Heifer International.
