I began my career at Cretin-Derham Hall as a student teacher in the fall of 2005. Ever since then, I have enjoyed working with the fantastic faculty, staff, students, and parents of this school. I absolutely love my job teaching English. My previous experiences here at CDH have included teaching English, Social Studies, and Religion within the Values Symposium class for 9th graders, as well as 11th grade Faith and Ethics, 10th grade Church History, and for the past three years, College Prep English for sophomores and Honors English for juniors. I am excited to be teaching Honors English 10, Senior Academic Writing, Senior Creative Writing, Individualized Reading, and Speech this year. With CDH, I have also coached girls tennis and served as an advisor for LaSallian Youth, CONTACT, and the Anti-Genocide/STAND chapter. I have accompanied student groups on Justice Education trips to Guatemala (to learn through immersion and service about social justice issues there and in our own backyard), and Georgia and Alabama (for intense exploration of the United States' Civil Rights Movement). I have also chaperoned the student pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago across northern Spain. When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading and writing (big surprise there!) as well as traveling, camping, hiking, canoeing, and spending lots of time with my family and friends.
