Today during rehearsal the cast of Almost Maine started out by using single words to describe their characters. The person whose character it was, watched as everyone else acted out what that word means to them in order to gather ideas for their characters traits and habits. Then the cast was  given fifteen minutes to rehearse their individual scenes. During that time they worked on memorization and blocking. Then the cast came back together as a group and each got a piece of paper with unique and difficult questions about their character and their partners character. Questions like, "What is your scene saying about love?" and "What do i want to change about the other person?". This really helped character building and everyone was able to discover something new and creative they had not thought about before. Finally the cast went through the scenes in order just to see where everyone was at. The scenes were absolutely brilliant! People laughed, people were sad, everyone found really cool moments that they enjoyed in every scene! The casts homework is to look at youtube videos given to them to help with character building. This show is going to be fantastic and without a doubt something to be very proud of! Nice work everyone! Keep up the great work!
