CDH GIRLS SOCCER
CDH Girls Soccer consists of five teams: Varsity, Junior Varsity, B Squad, and two Ninth Grade teams. The Parent/Athlete Meeting for soccer is Monday, August 6th at 6pm in the Fieldhouse. The soccer season begins Monday, August 13, 2012 for those student-athletes 9-12 that are trying out for VARSITY ONLY. Those student-athletes that are trying out for JV, B or 9th grade teams will start on Wednesday, August 15th, 2012. There are cuts for each team except for 9th grade. We will create 2 9th grade teams based on ability to make each team competitive in games. The varsity season is 12 weeks in length playing 2 to 3 games per week. JV, B and 9th grade season is 10 weeks in length with 2-3 games per week. Practices are held after school anytime between 2:45-8pm. There are games and practices on Saturdays as well. Girls Group Strength and Conditioning- During the summer (starting Wednesday, JUNE 6th) on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, the fitness center will have strength and conditioning for GIRLS only from 10-11:30AM. The sessions will be led by Mr. Macken, Morgan Bekter (Former UST Women's Hockey and Softball Player) and others. The cost for strength and conditioning instruction and use of the fitness center during the summer is $125 for all students before JUNE 1st ($135 after JUNE 1st). CDH Girls Soccer will have the following dates this summer available for girls soccer players to practice soccer. Practice sessions will be on the West fields at CDH. These instructed times are free for all incoming CDH 9th graders and CDH student-athletes interested in playing girls soccer in the fall 2012. We are starting our sessions in JULY for on field training due to players involved in summer soccer still in JUNE and availability of fields at CDH.

COSTS
Varsity and JV will have cost for trip to Duluth at start of season (approx $40-45) for the hotel. JV and B squad will need to purchase white and purple socks at beginning of season ($8 per pair) 9th grade will have to pay for game t-shirts at beginning of season. ($15) Additional CDH Girls Soccer apparel will be available to purchase at beginning of season for all student-athletes in the program. You will need to provide shinguards, ball and shoes on your own.
COMMUNICATION:
We encourage all student-athletes to communicate directly with their coaches about any questions or feedback. As a parent, please make sure that your daughter is communicating with the coach FIRST as needed before a parent addresses the coach. Our practice and game schedule are online and up to date. Any last minute changes (weather, cancellations, changes in venue etc) will be found on the CDH athletics daily updates. Please view the online calendar for the most current schedule or call the Athletic Hotline 651-696-3375. Coaches/administration will be able to also email updates to the student-athletes CDH email if advance notice or through school announcements.
